Elizabeth is firstly a professional flutist originally based in Southern California. I founded sempre|flute in June 2021 as a creative way to fulfill the absence of reliable performing and teaching opportunities during the pandemic. I had just graduated from UCLA, and with the lack of audition opportunities, I put my mind to another venture: taking my love of music and translating it into a passion project unrelated to my ability as a performing musician.

Sempreflute was a conceptualization that began years prior when I briefly worked at a well-known hobby and fabric company, where I discovered my interest in working with luxurious fabrics. I experimented at the time with first-drafts of what you now know as the Artist and Practice Series flute cleaning cloths. Back then, I simply created them for myself along with friends and colleagues. And I tabled my creation once I began my master's program at UCLA.

After receiving my degree, I had an excess of time to create Sempreflute into what it is today. A culmination of handmade, beautiful instrument accessories that I myself use and love, and that I want to share with you. I went through extensive testing, sharing my initial drafts, prototypes if you will, with past teachers, mentors, and colleagues, where I absorbed their feedback to create luxurious products that they would love and respect, and continue to use for years to come.

On a humorous note, I wanted to provide fellow colleagues with something other than less-than-favorable muslin that falls apart after several uses and washes. No more torn, falling apart flute swabs! Instead, my goal was to provide something beautiful and durable, that could withstand constant use and that could be hygienically taken care of without falling apart.

And the rest is now history.

I continue to strive to provide you with not only cleaning and polishing cloths, but also flute mats & resting pads, Tarnish Savers, and more to come.

Thank you for being here and for your support of Sempreflute!
